My girlfriend had me watch this show a few days ago and now I am hooked. Mr. Boitano was very entertaining and it was very easy to follow along as he cooked and chatted away. We had to cut the hot spices out, but the buttermilk was a great idea and made the chicken succulent. I watch Food Network now because of this show.

First of all I loved watching this show! He is great! I made the chicken bites without the spice but wanted to try the process that he used. Soaked the tenders in buttermilk overnight and then I tossed them in flour (minus the spice and then put them back in buttermilk and then floured again. Great texture. I will continue to use this process with chix tenders. Yummy!

Hey, I watched the show for the first time this weekend and even though i prefer the challenge show I must say that this show is quite fun, his personality has a real cool kick to it just like his food, I tried the hashed pototoes in the bacon cups this morning just a little bit and it wasn't at all bad, but the type of sweet potatoes we have in Barbados are the ones with the white inside so i'm sure it was different, anyway this recipe is the bomb, i'm in the process of frying my last batch of chicken bites, and i've already made the bleu chese dip with some additions, i tried one piece of chicken and it tasted so juicy n crunchy, really succulent, I hope Brian keeps this great job up.

I watched Brian's new episode with excitement! The recipes are all simple but elegantly delicious! Brian's spunky personality is a plus. He is very engaging & one can't help feeling rapport with this former skating champ! Like one famous skater once declared, Brian could easily be my "most favorite person in the world" too! Brian's detractors? Their comments are too preposterous to even acknowledge. So keep doing what you're doing, Brian! Three cheers to your new show!

PS..If people don't like his show then turn the tv channel freaks.

I love Brian as a skater but I did watch his show and it took me a little while to "warm up to it." Thought it was funny but the part I disliked was the commentary portion of the show. I thought it made the show distracting and more difficult to follow along. It made me single task instead of being able to multi task with the tube on. I have not tried any of these recipes but then I don't have much need for making appetizers. I do LOVE, did I mention LOVE the bacon cups idea. Thought that was creative and brilliant. I think I'll steal that idea. Good luck Brian and good job!

You need to catch up with the, er, 90's!! I don't think he was ever IN the closet! Get a clue and enjoy this show! He's hilarious and completely comfortable in his own skin. I think this is one of the best shows Food Network has ever done!! So funny and entertaining!! I hope he becomes bigger than Guy!!

Some people just show their ignorance. Brian is very entertaining. I have printed all his recipes and can't wait to try them all. Keep up the good work Brian.

I'm not a fan of Bleu Cheese? Is there something I could substitute for it? Ranch maybe? Help please, I'd love to make these.
    I gave a 4 cuz I haven't made them yet, can't wait to though.
