I made exactly as written and liked the icing more than I liked the brownies. The icing recipe makes a lot and I put some in a container and stored it in the refrigerator. I will use it in a week or so with my tried and true brownie recipe. I may add a splash of coconut extract in the icing to ramp it up just a tad bit more. Overall, a good recipe.

My husband and I liked this. The frosting is like a German Chocolate Frosting. Thanks for the recipe. I also like to watch your show.

This is the most moist, delicious brownie I've ever had - - and the frosting was simply and AWESOME! I appreciate the way Trisha cooks and how she has fun in the kitchen when she cooks. This was my second time to see the episode and the first time to make any of the recipes - - and I feel like I can make them over and over again!

I have made these brownies twice and these brownies are a taste of heaven when we eat them. They are easy to make and a must when we are wanting something sweet. I must admit we celebrate birthdays in our school district where I teach and I will be taking these as a birthday celebration treat!! I would certainly recommend anyone to try making them!

I loved making these brownies just as much as I enjoyed eating them. The frosting made these brownies look and taste extra special. I cut mine into 16 mini squares to serve to some girlfriends at a game night. They were a hit. I used Ghirardelli baking chocolate. The brownies came out moist and rich. While still in the pan, I put the frosted brownies in the freezer for about 30 minutes before slicing. This made them easier to slice with cleaner edges, particularly with the frosting piled so high. Looking forward to making these again. Love Trisha's show!

Everyone kept asking if I made these! So easy so good, seem like you picked them up from a bakery.
The brownie is not to sweet and very tender. The topping is also not too sweet but so impressive.
This makes a small batch. So if you have to bring a little sumthin sumthin this would be it.
