This was a huge hit. The pickled veggies, marinated overnight, with the little sriracha bite were delicious and the burgers done on the grill were packed with flavor and very juicy.

We tried this last night just the way it was written and it was very tasty. We may add jalepenos next time for a bit more spice!

This is one of the most popular sandwiches at the market. And a nice one to make at home for a bbq.

While it might not be completely "authentic" -- it is a sandwich I first had in the 70s at many Vietnamese restaurants in France. It is also featured in almost every Vietnamese cookbook. So while it does not have pate on it, it is a commonly found sandwich.

Thanks for watching and thanks for cooking!

I recently made these and they came out so tasty. I think I added a bit more than a dash of the five spice powder so I'll have to be aware of that next time, but other than that it was delicious! This is going in my recipe file for sure.
