- 1/2 lime, cut into small cubes
- 1 teaspoon fine sugar
- Handful cracked ice
- 1 1/2 ounces cachaca
- Slice of lime, for garnish
Place lime cubes in cocktail shaker. Sprinkle lime with sugar. Smash the lime with pestle, spoon or muddle for 1 or 2 minutes to release all the oils from the rind. Add the cracked ice to the shaker, pour cachaca over all. Shake hard for at least 30 seconds. Pour into glass. Garnish with lime slice.
