Thanks. I used to use this recipe years ago (1980s but lost it in a move. I am so glad to have found it again. I was fond of using different kinds of beer to get different flavors. Our favorite was dark beer. Gave a nice color and deep "beery" flavor. It's snowing outside, so I'll be making this to go with a hot stew for supper tonight. :-

If you don't like the taste or thought of using beer, you can substitute Sprite or 7UP. Great recipe and who needs expensive mixes when this is sooo easy.

I love how simple this recipe is, also love how the seasonal pumpkin ales make it taste. I decided to try adding a couple tablespoons of pumpkin pie filling, switched the sugar to 1/4 c granulated and 2/3 dark brown. Turned out really moist and dense yet had a nice slightly crunchy crust. Was a hit at the dinner party I took it to.

Can't get much simpler than this! Yes, it was sweet, but I loved it! My oldest daughter snagged a bit off my plate, and came back for more - now to see tomorrow how the other two like it... ; Made to go with some chicken chili - perfect accompaniment, I thought...

This beer bread was so simple and easy to make! Although my family LOVED it, I didn't like it as much purely because I'm not a huge beer fan. (Hence why I still give it 5 stars, I'm just not a beer person! I have to say, it did taste great paired with some sharp farmhouse cheddar cheese! This recipe is too easy not to love!

This is the best beer bread that I have ever tried! Even better than Tastefully Simple and Pampered Chef beer bread! Very easy recipe and less than 5 minute prep time!

This bread was far better than I thought it would be, considering that it took me no longer than three minutes to throw the ingredients together! It was dense, sweet and was a lovely color after baking. I served it with baked beans and pork chops, which was a great combination, but it was even better a couple of days later with super spicy chili.

I decided for my dad's bday that I would make an entire meal that revolved around beer tasting. With each beer that I had, I made a dish with it. This was the only thing I made that I didn't use some specialty beer to make it with and it was one of everyone's favorites! I couldn't believe how simple it was and how good it tasted. This one is a keeper!
