This recipe tastes just like the boxed version from tastefully simple, and almost as simple. I do recommend their garlic garlic dip with it. So yummy!

Love, love, love this bread. I not only use beer for this recipe but I also use other carbinated drinks. I have used sprakling cider or orange soda in the fall. When using a blonde beer I add in orange Cranraisins. Today, I am making Dill Bread with this recipe by adding 2 tsp of dill. I agree with Sue, I cannot always get a hold of my Tastefully Simple distributor and this is a lot more economical. I will be giving a jar of the ingredients to my family and friends for the holidays with a tag attached for the directions. This is the best!!!

My 5 year old grandson just loves making and eating this bread with me. I think it would make great French toast!!

Wow! Not only is this recipe delicious it far more economical than the boxed ingredients from Tastefully Simple. I used 1/2 a stick of melted unsalted butter and poured it on top of the batter before putting it in the oven. I cubed the cooled bread and served it with a warm cheesy dip. My friends loved it and wanted the recipe because they insisted it tasted better than the boxed version.

On a whim, I decided to whip up some beer bread for my boyfriend and I last night with dinner. We had a couple of bottles of Sam Adam's Oktoberfest in the fridge, so I used that to make the bread. It was *very* good.

I just can't get over how easy this reicpe is and how wonderful it turned out! The crust was very crunchy and the inside was nice and soft... we loved it!

I have tried other recipes for beer bread before and they always come out too buttery or too dry. This is the perfect recipe, and best of all its EASY!
I have used this recipe over and over and have never been disappointed.

If you don't have self-rising flour on hand, just substitute 3 cups all-purpose flour plus 1.5 teaspoons each of baking powder and salt. I used Leinie's Honey Weiss for the beer -- excellent choice!

My fiance thinks this recipe is better than the mixes. Unless you need to run to the store to get the ingredients, it does not take 20 minutes to prepare!

I make this during football season. Let's just say I've had friends lick the plate when I wasn't looking. As good as those mixes and MUCH cheaper.
