I made this recipe for my husband for the Superbowl and he just loved them. I think they tasted fantastic and I can't wait to make them again. I do recommend a disposable pan because these wings are messy and sticky, but they are OH SO GOOD!

This is a great recipe, have made these at least a dozen times in the last couple years and I always get compliments on them. They are great to serve at a party, and are always the first to go. I have had several people ask for the recipe.
They are tender and fall off the bone, and a bit messy to eat.
Definately use REAL maple syrup when making, I have tried both the real maple syrup and the fake pancake syrup and there is a big difference. Also, make sure to use a disposable pan when cooking because it will be impossible to clean off a regular pan.
    Excellent wings, definately 5 stars!

I have made these for three separate functions now and every single time they are the first to go and I get many requests for the recipe. Don't worry if the liquid doesn't reduce all the way. It happened once to me when I tripled the recipe so I poured the excess into a sauce pan and reduced, then poured back over wings. Great alternative to traditional hot wings as alot of people can't or won't do hot. Even my wife who usually doesn't like things on the sweet side raved about them.

For Christmas a family member had cooked these, unfortunately for me, arriving late to the party I was only able to get my hands on 1. It was excellent. I immediately made them the next day. Due to the way they are cooked, the chicken practically falls off the bone and is very tasty. Sweet flavor with a hint of salt and garlic in the back of your throat. Tastes wonderful all the way down, and smells just as good. The only negative is that these are very messy to eat. Not exactly something you can eat on the couch during a football game, but will surely please any of the fans.

I shared this recipe with a friend of mine for a Christmas party she was hosting. She had many, many dishes of different kinds, but this recipe was the ONLY dish that was completely gone half way through the party! I almost expected to see the guests licking the crock pot that she had them in to keep them warm!

The chicken turned out a little dry. Next time I will marinate it overnight and cook it for less time. The wings ware sweet, sticky and enjoyable.
