Very tasty Shepherds pie recipe. Added black pepper, some white pepper and a dash of garlic powder to the saute mix. Added a little Cheddar to top of potatoes once they started to brown. Came out delicious. Will definitely make again.

Quick and easy, I didn't have the gravy, and it came out good. May add more potatoes to the recipe next time.

Forgot my Coleman's Shepherd's Pie mix so I thought I'd give this a try and very happy that I did. I'll be using this recipe from now on.

The only negative to this recipe is that it was barely enough to feed four adults and one young child. I would make again, but double the recipe.

I use leftover lean ground beef with sauteed onions and mushrooms and either brown or mushroom gravy and lots of pepper but no worchestershire or thyme. Make the peas a separate layer so they stand out more, both in presentation and taste. Top the leftover mashed potatoes with parmesan cheese instead of butter. YUM YUM (My family loves this so much that I don't get to wait for leftovers anymore; I have to cook the whole dish from scratch. :

This recipe is quick easy and delicious.
I added mixed vegetables and for the gravy I used a beef bulion mixed with mushroom soup. I also added cheese on the top. Awesome and my family loved it too.

Made with beef it is "cottage pie". Shepherds herd sheep that is why "shepherds pie" is made with mutton or lamb.
