I lightened up on the pepper too.
I found it was better when I used legs and thighs. After adding the tomatoes, just cover and pop in the oven at 350 until the meat falls off the bones. Yum.

While this recipe looks like a good idea, all this pepper is going to scorch your insides! Cut the kinds of pepper down to a quarter of the original and you might be ok. This dish is best served on some sort of plain grain such as pasta to absorb the spice of the chicken.

This dish was too spicy for me so next time I am planning on sprinkling the pepper. I had to use capers and they worked fine although I do really want to try the olives. Overall I really enjoyed this recpe it was super easy and tasty despite the heat.

Very...peppery! And not sure how the vodka adds depth of flavor. But still, a crowd-pleaser every time I've made it, plus people think it is very complicated to make, and it's not!

I followed this recipe to the "T" and I must say, pretty awful!
I love spicy hot food but this was just overall not a pleasant meal to have.

I read the reviews before I made this recipe. My husband and I loved it. I didn't use all the pepper though. The last time I made it I didn't have vodka so I used white wine and I didn't cook the chicken all the way through on the stove. I finished it off in the oven and it was delicious!

This was Spicey hot, I thought it was awesome. My wife doesn't like spicey food, so she hated it.

We like spice...but! Like others, I am glad I read the reviews before making. While I loosely followed the recipe, I made the following modifications for a dish that turned out great and will definately make again.
    1. Used at least half of the listed peppers and only lightly dredged.
    2. Added enough vegetable broth to cook it down as well as a small amount of cream when it was still too spicy.
