this was a delicious recipe. We had fresh steelhead and bbq'd with the plank. The seasonings were a terrific addition.

Being a Pacific Northwest girl, I found this recipe to be quite authentic in flavor. I remember summers we would go boating over to Hat Island where they had Native American Indian Potlatch feasts. This recipe reminded me of those days. Thank you Bobby!

Tried this as is. Loved the flavor but thought it was too salty. Not too salty eat as evidenced by only the skin left on the planks. I used kosher salt. Next time I will cut down the amount of salt. I used the mix I made for an overnight brine for chicken. Sensational.
Also I cooked some mixed mushrooms on the plank with the seasoning. Same amount of cook time and good side with salmon.

I am so picky about salmon. Restaurants are notorious for overcooking it, so I will rarely order it out. Most often I will broil it, but ran across some cedar planks today while shopping and decided to give it a try. I honestly don't know if it was the rub or the cedar plank - but this salmon was simply out of this world. Pair this with a nice bottle of Pinot Noir and you will NOT forget this meal. FABULOUS!!

I don't like salmon, but I try to eat it because it's so good for me. Finally I found a fool-proof recipe! This seasoning has just the right amount ofsubtle heat and spice, and really complements the fish. It was so easy, this was the second time ever I have used a grill, and it came out perfect! No "fishy" salmon taste with this recipe. My family asked that I make this again soon!

My husband and two young daughters LOVED this salmon! This is the first time I've BBQed on a cedar plank, and it made every bite exceptionally smokey and tasty. Was worried the red pepper and other "spicy" spices would be too much for my 9 and 11 year old, but they loved it. Will cook salmon this way from now on!

My husband and I LOVE this quick easy recepie. We cook it at 350 on the grill for 10-12 min. and keep re-using the same cedar plank each time till it falls apart! Try some fresh green beans with toasted almonds or sauted spinich as a side.
