This was OK, but nothing special...it's lacking something - marinara dipping sauce, scallions, herbs...??? I didn't have spaghetti or "plastic wrap" cheese, so I used capellini and shredded sharp cheddar in the center. Worked fine; just lacked a flavor "punch." Recipe is easy to follow and uses common ingredients. Also halves easily, which was plenty for my needs.

So fun but hard to turn after the first 5min. of cooking time, we suggest using another pan of the same size to transfer it to then back in the hot pan again! Choose cheeses that you love but the american cheese is a must! Tastes so good! Crispy love it! Served it with a wonderful salad and we are stuffed!

I made this for the family and it was yummy! I did not use pecorino cheese it was to expensive so I use muenster and swiss and american cheese and it was very good. And it is a meal in itself.

We liked this recipe as is, but next time we will try cheddar instead of Swiss.
The recipe did not give the size of the saucepan used so we reviewed the show comparing the 3.5 inch slices of cheese to the pan (2 slices = 7”. We came up with a 10" across top of saucepan with sloped sides. That worked out well for the proper thickness of pie for our tastes.
The recipe called for 1 Lb of cooked spaghetti. We cooked 8 Ounces (by weight dry spaghetti, which we found was fine for us and compared well with the show.
The strange thing is that conversions in all our cookbooks and web sources only provide weight to volume spaghetti conversions, not dry weight to cooked weight as needed in this recipe.

It didn't taste very cheesy to me. I even used cheddar sliced instead of American cheese. Wasn't impressed at all.

I was expecting more from this dish. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. It was really heavy with all the cheese.

This was really easy to make and yummy. Adding another slice or 2 of american cheese would add to the gooey center. Also, it really needs a dipping sauce like a marinara or something.

Great! Easy, adaptable and CHEESY. However, I am not a fan of the plastic-wrapped cheese but it worked alright. However, will try it next time with a different type of cheese...maybe mozerrela or cheddar slices. Any suggestions?
