I have made this before following a slightly different recipe. I believe the recipe is off here, 4 cups of Graham Cracker crumbs is WAY too much. The moist ingredients couldn't reach the bottom so I am left with the bars over an inch or more of unchanged crumbs. I even used the whole 14 oz can of s c milk as I thought it needed more. 2 cups of crumbs would have worked. :(

I haven't tried to make this one, but I did make Paula's 5 layer bars. I think who ever typed the ingredients may have a type-o. I do believe the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter should be the right consistancy. I'll have to check Paula's recipe again. I seem to add and subtract some ingredient measures due to 'it doesn't sound right' theory. 1 recipe called for 3 tablespoons of salt, knew that was wrong. On Paula's recipe it calls for the whole can - 14 ounce - of sweetened condensed milk. Try it again with a couple of changes. Bet it's great.

I wonder if this recipie has been posted incorrectly. 4 cups of crumbs to one cup butter makes for a dry/crumbly crust. All those toppings and only 8 oz of condensed milk makes for a dry topping as well. I thought this recipie was the same as Eagle Brand Magic Cookie Bars, essentially the same ingredients, but the proportions are different. I gave this recipie to someone to make for me, we were unable to serve it. I rate it as zero, but had to post a one to post the review. I would recommend that no one follow the recipie as its written here.
