These were profiled in the 12 days of cookies - so I made them for a holiday cookie tray. Consistency is more like a cake and it's not dense enough to add as 'finger food' for a cookie tray.

I drained the cherries really well, but all of the cherries and preserves sunk to the bottom.

End result: tasty - but not as expected.

I thought this looked really good on the show and they looked good after baking and that was as good as it got. 1/2 tsp ground cloves is way too much that is all I could taste and all I could taste afterwards for quite a while. My 18 year old son that likes everything also said these were awful.
I say don't waste your time and money.

I changed the recipe a little, I baked them in mini muffin tins (in paper wrappers for 10 minutes. I also iced them with a cream cheese icing. They were wonderful, everybody loved them!

Although the cookie appeared to be most unappetizing in appearance, I love fruit so tried them. Weren't the best but passable
