These were a huge dissapointment. Spicy should mean spicy not dull.
Followed to a T. No changes ......will not make these again....tasted like meatballs in katchup sauce....

These are sooo good and flavorful! I baked my meatballs in the oven before coating with the sauce. Instead of red pepper flakes, I used some of the peppers in adobo sauce. ...I also made this sauce for little smokies. It was super easy since I just combined all of the sauce ingredients and party dogs in the crockpot. I will be making this recipe again!

These are GREAT! Made them for a party and they were a hit. Only thing I did differently, I baked the meatballs instead of frying.

Fabulous recipe for more than one reason. Meatballs are great in the sauce but the sauce is what makes the dish so good. I make extra sauce and use it on pork chops. FANTASTIC! I'll also spice it up and use it as a dipping sauce for steak...INCREDIBLE. The sauce is seet, sour, hot and with just the texture you want to make it by slicing the onions thicker or thinner (we like thick. Use your imagination on this and you are making just the sauce for far more than meatballs. Easy, Tangy and Delicious.

This was a perfect recipe for an after school snack
But if you dont want to make the meat balls you can use store bought ones too(in my opinion, swedish meatballs work the best

I made this for an engagement party and it was a HUGE hit! I made the meatballs & sauce a day early & then combined them in a crockpot on the day of the party. I added more abobo sauce since I like it a little spicy and used bbq sauce instead of ketchup. Very good, very moist!

Making these again for a wedding shower. The sauce surely needs a little more brown sugar and some adobo sauce as others have mentioned. First time around I substituted 1 finely chopped chipotle pepper for 1 teaspoon of the red chili flakes in the sauce. They were a hit everyone loved them!!
