My husband and I LOVED this recipe and rate it a "10+"!! This dish was amazingly tasty and also very easy to make. I even omitted some ingredients and tinkered with some others and it was still delicious. Absolutely wonderful.

Delicious!! You MUST make sure you use good red wine. The taste of the wine used was evident in this dish. If we bought a cheapo one, it could have been ruined it.

Bland. Needs more herbs and salt.

Good flavor. Was great way to use up leftover spaghetti sauce vs use canned tomatoes.

I made this recipe a while ago and shared it with three of my friends. We all enjoyed it, but I recommend replacing the green bell pepper with a red/yellow/orange one. The green one was too bitter.

The red wine was too intense; then again, I threw in a splash of marsala cooking wine on top of it, so I'm not sure if that's what did it. I'd reduce the wine down to half a cup.
I didn't have any basil or parsley or carrots, but it was still good. Forgot to add the red pepper flakes, so was pretty bland, but I just added some chili powder afterwards, and it was fairly tasty.

Very easy to make, and came out absolutely delicious! I was worried it would be too "herby" but the flavor was fantastic. I always add more pepper than called for and added about 3/4 t. - 1 t. of red pepper. Can't wait to make it again!
