    Great, tasty recipe. I agree with previous poster, and add onion and mushrooms. I also use Hot Italian sausage, but then we like things spicy.

    but it needed some modifiying.
    start with a whole sweet onion and stalk or two of celery cook down with the potatoes at the beginning with healthy shot of salt and pepper.
    added cremini mushrooms with the bell peppers
    used more seasoning when it called for it
    made an awesome stew with those additions - not sure if it would have made anything cooked properly based on the networks modification of the original which looked good on 3x D as did everything that came out of Mama Cozza's would fly there just to try the food
