This was easy and delicious but did not taste like toffee to me. Used challah bread and added toffee bits. Cut the rum to half cup. Good but not as tasty as a bourbon sauce. Tried vanilla ice cream and that was a great pairing.

I made this for my kids without the rum toffee sauce and it was excellent. I froze the leftover and they were great when we ate them later.

Loved this recipe. I have been tying my had at bread pudding for the first time and they always look so pretty in the oven but when they come out then just fall flat. So when i found this recipe the only thing i did different from Bobby Deen was to whip my egg whites seperatly and then fold them in at the end. It not only came out delicious but also very fluffy and pretty!! Like the review from acarter in Marietta Ga. the more the chocolate and nuts the better. I did not do it this time but i will the next time i make it, thanks!

Made this last night with a loaf of Challah. The pantry was a bit lean so I cut the recipe in half. Used coffee rather than rum. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Kudos to Bobby Deen!

This was so easy to make and so tasty. I made substitutions but don't believe it had any positive or negative change to the original. I used whole milk and half/half (had to cut some calories. I had a chocolate chip Panetone on hand from the holidays and knew I wanted to make a bread pudding with it. This recipe was perfect for it since that bread is sweet like a Hawaiian bread. I added some milk chocolate chips instead of a bar since the bread had chocolate in it. I cut the rum sauce recipe in half and I liked it with the pudding. My husband skipped it and said the pudding was good without it. Guess it is good either way! I don't think the rum sauce was strong tasting but you could taste the rum....I liked it. Thanks so much for this recipe.

I watched Bobby and Paula make this on the show today and I have never made bread pudding before but my husband said oh my that looks so good so I decided to attempt it. It was a HIT the directions were easy to follow and it turned out really good! Thanks! YUMMY!
