My wife just handed me one hot out of the oven. They're phenomenal.

    FANTASTIC !!! ...

Personally ... I hate chocolate ... but my wife is a total chocoholic and Chocolate Chip Cookies are her only vice in life. According to her ... these cookies are to die for. They are truly the best Chocolate Chip Cookies you will ever want eat. I followed the recipe exactly ... no changes. I used Ghirardelli chips instead of crushing bar chocolate and baked them for the suggest time 17 minutes ... which gave me a semi-soft / semi-crisp cookie. If possible, serve them warm just out of the oven. They also freeze great ... if they last that long.

    Thank you Chef Falkner !!!

SUPER FANTASTIC! Ok so I love to bake. I am the girl at the office that brings in goodies once and even twice a week. I am always up for recreating classics and definitely one that likes to add something special to my favorites for my family and friends. So it's Sunday afternoon and I am trying to think of something to bake as a thank you gift and recalled watching Chef Elizabeth Falkner on "The Best Thing I Ever Made" If you have an extra minute, watch this episode and watch Chef Falkner at her best! Enjoy and taste for yourself.

Very good. I think next time I'll try with unsalted butter as I thought they had a saltier taste. My fam and friends loved them. A definite keeper in my book! Excellent!

This is my new go to chocolate chip cookie recipe! I loved how they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and chewy! The only thing I will do differently next time is bake one sheet at a time. Maybe I did something wrong, but having to rotate the cookies on sheet came out flatter than the other sheet that came out less spread out, those looked nicer and had better texture than the thinner ones. I rotated them half way through as directed. They all tasted great though so its all good ;-!

These cookies are delicious! I loved how they weren't too sweet, but still delicious and just like a good chocolate chip cookie. Every bite was a surprise because you don't know how much chocolate you will get. Next time I would make my dough chunks smaller because they expanded into each other.

These cookies are incredible!! The two differences from my tried & true recipe that had the biggest impact are the addition of baking powder and using a block of chocolate and chopping it instead of using chocolate chips. I baked the cookies for exactly 13 minutes, and they were a true gourmet cookie! Thank you, Chef Faulkner! P.S. (I have made some truly spectacular recipes from "The Best Thing I Ever Made"!

These are SOOOO good! They are indeed one of the BEST cookies I've ever made. I tried making both chewy and crispy ones by baking for a shorter and a longer time. I liked the soft ones better. They are like the ones from a good bakery.
I used shortening instead of butter, and came out very good. Definately making again and again. Thank you for the recipe Chef Falkner, you are one of the best pastry chefs!

very tasty but because I made smaller portions of dough(and got more cookies I should have reduced the baking time to perhaps 5 minutes, rotate, 5 more minutes. I am usually very good at getting the cookies out of the oven on time and I usually just do one sheet at a time. the cookies turned out not as soft and chewy as usual, still tasty though!
