It was awesome! I made this recipe for my friends and they absolutely enjoyed them, although I decided to add 1 cup of walnuts and 1/4 of chocolate chips because i don't love chocolate chips but they turned out great and very crunchy and chocolaty! Love them! ; p.s.add extra walnuts and chocolate chips on top they turn out delicious! :D

These cupcakes are amazing and super easy to make! I didn't add the walnuts just because I didn't have any on hand, I also added 1/4 tsp. baking powder to the batter as other reviewers recommended. The cupcakes are very rich, (which I liked because it kept me from eating the entire batch singlehandedly! These are great cupcakes for last-minute get togethers and when you're in a time-crunch. Who cares if the mix came from a box?! Thanks, Giada!

I'm a mom of 3 kids under 5, one of whom is a 1-month-old. Which I why I only realized the night before my son's birthday that I hadn't made cupcakes. This recipe saved me -- I had all the ingredients on hand except for the marscapone cheese, but that wasn't a problem -- the reviewer who said it makes twice as much frosting as necessary was right, so I just left that out and halved the sugar. (If you're big into piping and decorating, though, you'll probably need that extra frosting. I used a 19.8 oz package of the Duncan Hines Family Style Dark Chocolate Fudge brownies -- normally I think they're too cake-like as brownies but for cupcakes they were perfect -- somewhat more rich than cake but not too much. I made them with my older 2 kids, who had a blast. We also split up the frosting and added food coloring to different batches to make their favorite colors (and added the obligatory sprinkles. Overall, this recipe is an amazing time saver and uses ingredients that everyone should have on hand -- and best of all, stays true to Giada's reputation (and mine as a total chocoholic. :

Even though these turned out just like brownies on a cupcake wrap, they were really good. You can be creative with the type of brownie mix that you buy. The topping is also really good. I really like brownies and cupcakes, so this is a very creative way to have both in the same bite. You found a cupcake holder like Giada had in the show at Bed Bath & Beyond. They have them for regular size cupcakes and also for bite size cupcakes.

They were good, not the greatest ever. Bettye - look on Amazon.com for cupcake caddy.

I was excited to make these with my kids after watching the show. However, I think they fell pretty flat. There was nothing special about these - they just seemed like brownies that I couldn't get out of the cupcake wrappers. I watched them like a hawk, the middles were perfect, but the outer edges were crusty. These would good for someone who likes the edges of brownies. They were not for us.

I think this is just a great recipe but I have looked all over the place for the holder that she put the cupcakes in to take to the beach. Does anyone know where this exact one can be bought? Online or in a store? Thanks.

I expect something better from Giada instead of using mixes with garbage ingredients.
