Finally, I was actually able to make something I saw Giada make and not totally mess it up. I was at the hospital visiting my mom when I saw her make the cupcakes and knew I wanted to make them. I didn't get the exact directions so I winged it. I couldn't remember if Giada used 2 or 3 eggs so I used 3 eggs for a cake like brownie (I see now that the recipe calls for 2. I have to say the cupcakes turned out great. They are wonderul and my whole my family loved them. My 8 year old daughter even loves them. Definitely will make these again.

Shame on the people who berate Giada for using a box mix. Let's just call them "recipe snobs"....
Regardless, this was a delicious treat! Tastes every bit as good as made from scratch. The icing is to die for! Thanks G. :

My husband loves for me to fix brownies. We both were watching Giada's show when she made the cupcakes. I made them for him and he just loves them. I didn't make frosting for them though. I may have to try that next time. I can;t wait to share with my friends.

This recipe is a great one if your in a hurry or need something easy , but delicious! Yes, I have made the more time consuming , detailed recipes from Giada as well , but I have 4 kids and not always the time to spend hours cooking dessert, especially in the summer! Giada is no Sandra Lee, she is a mom now and knows recipes like this are very sought after by busy people! I think this makes her show even better! Thanks for the variety Giada!

Giada is running out of originality. Is that a Sandra Lee episode? I always expect better recipes from this program.
