This is one of the easiest chocolate cupcake recipe ever. I make it time and time again, I've never made the marshmallow frosting (too many eggs and I use melted butter instead of oil.

My kids love it and I make it for any school activity (they go pretty fast.

I use simple butter cream frosting for the kids and if i'm making it for adults, I use a cream cheese frosting. LOVE IT

I love the cake recipe and have utilized the frosting, as well as, other types. Everyone that eats this cake then asks which bakery I bought it from.
    Definitely worth making and eating.

Although the batter was watery, mine came out perfectly fine. Everyone enjoyed them and there was none left.

This recipe was terrible. Cupcakes sank in the middle and the dough was doughy dispite the extra bake time.

This recipe did not work at all for me. The top of every single one of them sank, but I still thought I could save them with frosting. I tried one and almost immediately the cake turned into a ball of dough and stuck to the roof of my mouth. Will not make this again.

I made this recipe and found nothing wrong with it. The batter was watery but I trusted that it would work. The cupcakes came out fantastic. I did need to increase the baking time by a few more minutes. I only used the ganache topping which was to die for. If you make these cupcakes, trust the recipe...I did and enjoyed every bit...yummy.

Good Flavor, but that is where it ends!!! The batter was extremely watery and that is after only using 1/2 cup of water rather than 1 cup. Cupcakes fell in the middle and they stuck to the wrapper. Very disappointed in this recipe. The Marscapone was marginal at best. I am going to try and use it as a filling for my carrot cupcakes to see if it works there...

I made this recipe exactly as is, the cupcakes, ganache, and frosting. One thing to mention is that I did have to bake the cupcakes for about 17 minutes. Also, I found dipping the cupcakes into the gannache was much easier than trying to frost with it. Now, I personally was not a big fan of the cupcake overall. The marshmallow frosting was WAY too sweet, but the ganache did balance it out. The actual cake was not as chocolate tasting as I would have preferred, it is, as another reivewer pointed out, basically the same recipe as the hershey chocolate cake recipe. Having said all this, my family LOVED these cupcakes. My husband is actually taking the rest of them into the office today, he really enjoyed them as did both of my children!!!
