I didn't even bother to make the Ganache after the cupcakes turned out so horribly. Don't waste your time and half a tin of schaffenberger cocoa powder on these steaming crap muffins. I sort of trust that what's on Food Network is going to be a decent quality product but I guess I need to go with a trusted chef or read reviews like you do on Allrecipes.

This cupcake recipe was fantastic! I adored the marshmallow frosting, and the super simple chocolate cake was superb. I will definitely be trying this recipe again, not to mention referring all of my friends to it :

The basic recipe of the cupcakes was very watery. I agree with Kathyfdlr. Not appealing after they were baked and they really sunk. 1 Tablespoon of vanilla! Can you explain this?

my daughters and I made this recipe and it was the best cupcake I have ever had! I loved the chocolate ganache and marshmallow frosting. This recipe was very easy for my daughters who are 15 and 11, they really had fun with this!

I also did not think they would turn out because they were so watery, but after the first 12 started to "grow" I just realized it would take longer for it to set. They needed to bake almost 20 minutes. They were very good and the ganache was so easy to make. I did not make the marshmallow, but rather I had Heather brittle bites sprinkled on the top. They were, fluffy and good. Can't wait to take them in for the people at work to try.

I had great luck with this recipe!! The cooking time was a little longer than suggested in the recipe, but cupcakes were very light. The ganache and marshmallow frosting were awesome!! Very yummy!

I think there is something wrong with the recipe for the chocolate cupcakes. When I put it together it seemed watery, but I went ahead and tried to bake the cupcakes. They looked ok in the oven, and tested clean with a toothpick before I pulled them out, (this took about 20 min but sunk terribly when they were cooling and I had to throw them away. I might try again with a different chocolate cupcake recipe
