I have type 2 diabetes, but I love chocolate covered fruit, so I modified by using Unsweetened baking chocolate and 1/2 teaspoon of maple syrup and 1/4 teas. Anise extract and I was able to eat without blowing my blood sugar through the roof! Thanks for a great recipe.
P.S.: this also works great with ginger root slices.

Great for kids that are picky with fruit's just cover the whole thing with chocolate they won't know what it is and they will want more and it's good for them
