Very easy and came out great! I followed everyone's advice and added liquid to achieve the texture I wanted.

First time making frosting from scratch. The kids had a great time adding the ingredients while I mixed! They loved licking the beaters while saying "yummy" the entire time. It was a bit thick for me to spread, but taste was wonderful. I will add more liquid next time.

This frosting is for the ultimate chocolate lover in you! It tastes like a chocolate truffle to me, it's rich, but light, I used skim milk because I didn't have heavy cream. I did everything else exactly like the recipe...... Yum!!!!!

First time making frosting. Tastes very good. I took into account what the other reviews mentioned about using more liquid, which I did (twice as more. Using more liquid made the consistency much better and easier to spread. My only issue is that it is VERY sweet. Probably because I used a higher end cocoa, Sharffen Berger. But I think next time I will cut out a cup of sugar or so and see how it tastes. Overall, will definitely use this recipe again. If you are looking for a very good homemade frosting this is it!-

This was an excellent recipe for frosting except there was way too much vanilla and butter. I'd recommend using less. Since there was too much vanilla and butter we evened it out by adding a cup full of chocolate chips and it was delicious.

I used whole milk instead of cream and it turned out just fine. I used more liquid than the recipe called for, like other reviewers, to help the consistency. I also used a few extra spoonfuls of cocoa so it would be more chocolaty and less sweet. I'll definitely use this again.

I used about 1/8 c. more cocoa, a few more T. of cream and 4 oz. cream cheese. So yummy!

I substituted sour cream because I didn't have any heavy cream and it was delicious! This frosting tastes a lot like the frosting at a certain famous bakery in the West Village in NYC.

What a great recipe! This was so easy that my boyfriend made it tonight without any help...that is saying a lot! The best part was, these were all ingredients we had on hand, so we didn't need to go to the store.

This chocolate frosting is wonderful. It's light and fluffy, and it tastes great. For those of you that like a richer flavor, try Dutch processed cocoa. It's really dark, but it tastes delicious.
