I have made this several times & it is always a success. I asked my husband what he wants for Father's Day & he said he wants this tart.

One of my go-to chocolate recipes. Yes, it is very sweet, so I use bittersweet chocolate instead of semi or milk chocolate. I also use hazelnuts instead of almonds, but that's just a personal preference. I also like to add a spoonful of instant coffee to bring out the chocolate flavor. (As if it needs it! Even with the bittersweet chocolate, definitely cut it into smaller wedges. It is very rich! But so delicious!

Very easy and quick to make and very tasty, and it will satify your chocolate craving. One of my guest looked at the size of it and was a little disappointed, he asked if we had ice cream to go with it. Once he tasted it and he agreed that it was the right size and did not want the ice cream. Will keep this as one of my go to receipes for a quick dessert, will also try it with white chocolate or do a swirl pattern.

I made this recipe with white chocolate, and a shortbread crust.I also made one with my kids that had rice krispies & pecans in it. It made it less dense and rich. For my father, I used german chocolate, and pecans. Also used a shortbread crust. This one turned out vary well, especially if you aren't a big chocolate lover, or wish for a more mild chocolate.

Just not my thing. I made this for a party, and people seemed to like it but most commented, "Wow, that is rich." There was still a lot left when the party was over. I think it's generally too chocolatey and rich for me and my crowd, and I used cinnamon graham crackers for the crust --well, honey grahams with 1 tsp cinnamon. That was my favorite part of this... The concept for the recipe is great, but you just have to LOVE chocolate.

I liked it. Not everyone I served to did, though. Very sweet, have to be a chocolate lover.

You will love this recipe! A must for Chocolate lovers and its versatile and so EZ! I had to put heat in microwave to finish melting chocolate for 15 seconds or so. I also sprinkle slivered almonds on top of the chocolate after pooring it into springform pan. It's my go-to dessert for fancy holidays like Christmas or fun summer bbq's. Very inexpensive too!
