    Absolutely awesome.

I wouldn't recommend halving the icing, as others have suggested, unless you really plan to just skim them. I used a piping bag to put on a moderate amount, and while I had some left over, it wasn't a lot of waste. I did add a pinch of salt to the icing, as it was a bit too sweet- that plus a dusting of unsweetened cocoa power as a garnish made for a fantastic dessert that I'm so proud to serve at our pre-parade brunch tomorrow.

    Happy St. Pat's Day!

These cupcakes are absolutely delicious. I didn't bake them the amount of time that was originally designated - 27 minutes. They are so dark, I got a little paranoid so I only baked them for 22 minutes. That time worked well. The recipe does make a lot of icing. I cut the batch in half and it was the perfect amount. As for the Baileys, well, I didn't cut that it half. I will definitely make them again!

I only used the frosting recipe, so this review is only for the frosting. I will be trying this cake recipe next time I make a chocolate stout cupcake though! The frosting was very easy to make and extremely delicious. The superbowl party was held outside in 80 degree weather so I was a little worried with all the butter, but it held up perfectly and had just the right amount of Irish cream flavoring.I stuck a little dark chocoalte covered pretzel on top for a nice presentation and everyone loved them.

OMG! I made these for Superbowl Sunday as well. They are to DIE for! NOTE: I used regular salted butter and although they were still the bomb, I think it's probably better to use the unsalted, especially in the frosting. Also, I dusted the frosting with some dark Hershey Cocoa powder.

These were "crazy" good, so good in fact that they are on the menu for a cupcake wedding I am doing in November. The only thing I added, was mini choc chips to the frosting which added a little crunch and my bride to be loved it!! This is a keeper.

I'm only reviewing the frosting because I made it to accompany "green velvet" cupcakes and that was absolutely fabulous! ("green velvet" = same as red velvet, but with green food coloring. The frosting was scrumptious. I have to confess ... I used the new Baileys Coffee Creamer instead of real Baileys liquor and it was terrific. I can't wait to try the cupcakes, too! Fabulous!

AMAZING! i was looking for a unique cupcake for a going away party and these sounded great. The taste is amazing, and has almost a chewy factor to the top of the cupcake. Unique and definitly a topic of conversation. And the guys loved them, of course because there was alcohol in them.

I thought these cupcakes were pretty good! I made them with light brown sugar because I didn't have dark on hand, and they turned out well. They're not too sweet or very chocolatey, but the icing adds plenty of sweetness to make up for it! The cupcake by itself tasted to me a little like beer bread. For the frosting, I used Kahlua instead of Bailey's and it turned out great!!! I would definitely make these again.
