It was a very moist and rich cupcake. I chose to do my own chocolate swiss buttercream frosting as I was really only looking for a good solid dependable chocolate cupcake to use as a base cupcake for many other things. This cupcake was very delicious and was the right consistency. However I didn't realize that it would nearly double in size when it baked! Ooops! The cups I filled closer to half full rather than 2/3 came out perfect.

Truffle it is...Delicious! I don't recommend filling liners 3/4, but half only. Mine did run over the pan. I recommend convection bake. The cake was very flakey making it hard to core, and I found could not hold up to the chocolate cream. The cake Overall was delicious!!!

Delicious tasting cupcakes! Looked beautiful and everyone loved every bite of them. The only negitive thing I would say is the amount of time it takes to core out the center and would cook them a little longer next time, but other than that they were awesome!

I made the cupcake just like the directions, except I used vanilla bean paste, put a splash of coffee in the frosting and used Pastry Pride in the frosting instead of the cream. I got 36 perfectly shaped cupcakes. I have never seen 3 dozen cupcakes go so fast. I love this recipe and will make it often.

This is probably the BEST cupcake I have ever made. I got more than the yield they called for. Because of how runny the batter was, I ended up baking for 20 mins vs 14 and they turned out perfectly.

Pretty good recipe. A little crumby but overall the taste is good. I added a little sour cream instead of some milk.
