Great dressing and simple salad to go with a lot of entrees. For 4 of us I used half the head of lettuce and it was plenty. I had the toppings in individual dishes so everyone could top as desired. I love chopped salads and this was a good take-off of 'the wedge'.

I made this as a wedge salad with some slight changes to the dressing. I used double horseradish and used 1/2c sour cream and 1/2c mayo and I also added some milk to make the dressing a little bit thinner. It was fantastic. My husband wants to eat this every day (we're not though and he wants his portion next time to be 1/2 a head of lettuce instead of a quarter wedge!

I've got news for whoever developed this recipe -- this is not a Wedge salad. A wedge salad is a wedge cut our of a head of iceberg lettuce dressed with dressing and garnishes. It is not made with chopped lettuce.

That said -- this is good, a sort of a cross between Thousand Island and Blue Cheese dressing with a lot of classic garnishes.

i thought that this was a good salad. Be careful that you don't overdress it. I added a little extra horseradish and tobasco to give it a little more flavor.

Followed the recipe exacly and thought the dressing was extremely bland. Added extra horseradish and worchester and still the dressing was missing something. The salad ingredients were wonderful but both my husband and I ended up not finishing it because the dressing was heavy and unappealing.

I love it! I made the dressing in total, but make the salad itself daily. I prefer Romaine, so I used it instead of the iceberg. Yummy and easy!

This is a perfect salad to have for lunch, or we like to add chicken or grilled steak to the salad and it makes a great summer meal. I love the way all the flavors come together...the crisp lettuce, the bacon, blue cheese, tomatoes and that hint of bite from the horseradish in the dressing. YUM!
