The recipe is easy to follow, it just does not have great flavor alone. It really needs to be tweeked. Also it looks nothing like Sunny's if you cook it for the given time.Crank up heat to 350 and it comes out a little darker...

I used this recipe and the chicken was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The flavor was great all over from the brine and the seasoning from the cayenne. For the first time, my chicken had that "crunch" that makes it Fried Chicken.

This is quite easy - even for someone like me who does not want to spend much time in the kitchen. I haven't fried chicken in literally years - yet when I saw Sunny bite into the piece on her show & specifically when I HEARD the crunch - that was it. I had to cook this recipe! It was tasty, tender, and had a really CRUNCHY crust - my favorite part. My husband ate three pieces tonight - way more food than he ordinarily consumes. Way to go, Sunny!!!

This is by far the best fried chicken recipe I have ever tried. The cayenne pepper adds a delicious kick, and letting the flour/egg coating sit for 10 mins or more is crucial. This has been added to our 'keeper' file - will definitely make again!

the tip on using cornstarch in your flour to give the chicken that added crispiness was a great idea. i used it and it worked!
