I want to make this recipe but can you give me the recipe for the starter? Can it be made without the starter? Thanks for you help.

The only problem I have with this recipe is trying to keep the starter going, or "feed the starter", no recipe was ever given for the way to feed it and keep it going for years.

In the last Cook's Note:, I think it should read 20 seconds in the microwave and not 20 minutes. Twenty minutes would definitely burn these wonderful buns. Thanks again, Paula, for another great recipe. The reason I did not give this recipe 5 stars is because I think most people don't have bread starters lying around and would have to make it. This would take lots of preplanning.

Paula, those sound delicious, but how can we make them if we dont know about the yeast starter. Can there be a substitute for the starter. I sure want to make some of those. Please let me know if anyone has the answer.
