I made this for Thanksgiving, had several good comments. I did change the original recipe by using tea spoon of vanilla and chopped pecans. I will make this again.

This is the 3rd dish I've tried of Claire's and I have LOVED the other 2. I was disappointed in this one. I should have made additions like vanilla, rum or cinnamon, like other reviewers suggested, but I decided to go with the orginal recipe (since in the past I have done this w/ your recipes with great results! It had a nice consistancy, and I loved the recipe method, but it lacked flavor "punch". It is a great base recipe to play with and make your own additions to, so that is what I will do next time!

This was SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!!! Loved every single bite. But the best part was how easy it was to make. I added a sixth ingredient (just cause I had it around, I added about 1/2 cup good golden rum... FABULOUS! A definite repeat!

I saw this being made on tv and simply from the ingredients knew that I had to try making it. I'm used to making more complex desserts but this simple dessert put some previous complex french recipes to shame. Quick and easy prep! I used french bread instead of brioche which came out lovely but I'd definitely try the recipe again in the very near future. I paired it with a coconut banana gelato and it was divine with the consistency of the pudding, perfect!

Call this bread pudding. Call this french toast casserole. Use the bananas. Substitute frozen berries. The point is JUST MAKE IT! You will thank me :-

Living in the suburbs of Columbus, bakeries are scarce so locating one to purchase a loaf of brioche bread was impossible. Instead, I purchased two packages of the Kings Hawaiian bread rolls. I used a package plus 4 rolls and it turned our great!!! The entire batter filled a 9x11 baking dish.

I've never had bread pudding, yet alone made it. but i watched her cook this and needed to try it.. Store didn't have brioche bread, so i used challah bread and added a teaspon of vanilla extract. So delicioius...ate it warm wtih some vanilla ice cream. It would be perfect for a brunch!! definitely making it again
