Yummy and easy! Thanks so much.... Although I couldn't master making the leaves.... That will take this novice some more work.

I just happened to catch this episode and saw her and a friend making this puff. I made it for Thanksgiving and am making it for Christmas. We love it-- what a hit!! In our house it's not eaten quickly (we're grazers... so I cut the cheese in wedges and fix it in sections so we can have warm brie puff through out the day!

Brie, puff pastry, and caramelized onions--seriously, how could this recipe possibly go wrong? I don't care for turkey, so I am always looking for interesting accompaniments to put on the Thanksgiving table so that I have something to help me mask the taste of turkey. I thought, roast turkey + brie + caramelized onions? But of course! The only thing I will say is that I had way more onions than I could possibly have ever needed. I love caramelized onions so I didn't mind, but if you're looking to save $$ (or need the room in your fridge you could probably get away with one onion if it is very large. Also, to the reviewers who said that their onions took longer than 15 minutes--there is no way you can properly caramelize onions in only 15 minutes, so you weren't doing anything incorrectly. "Low and slow" is the best way to go. FN should take that time estimate out of the recipe, or change it to 25 minutes (at least.

YUM, YUM, YUM! I ate half a brie round myself!! I made 1 round just like this, which was DELICIOUS, and made the second round without the onion mixture, and added homemade cranberry sauce. So easy, and soooo good!

Made for Thanksgiving Dinner - everyone loved it. We had all different levels of eaters at the table and it was a rave review dish by all!! I absolutely hate brie but I always make a recipe as written first and tweak it as needed. No need!! The sweetness of the carmelized onions totally rocked with the brie and puff pastry. Leftovers were enjoyed with the Jalapeno Cranberry Chutney!! Going to make this again today - encore presentation! I love Claire!

This was fantastic... and it made me look like a pro.
I made it as an app. for Thanksgiving, the first thing enryone said was "who made this?" They couldn't believe it was me.I carmelized the onions the day before, they took quite awhile to make.I assembled it Thanksgiving day. Followed your directions, and it turned out perfectly. I'll be making this again for sure. Thanks Claire

Since I wasn't serving a soup or salad at the beginning of Thanksgiving dinner, I decided on this dish as an appetizer. I made the caramelized onions 2 nights before so they were ready to use on Thanksgiving day. I used 2 small rounds of brie. Since I was serving 8 guests (including myself each person got an entire quarter of one brie round on their plate. It was so awesome (if I do say so myself and got rave reviews.

I made the recipe exactly as written and we L.O.V.E.D. it! Used for Thanksgiving appetizer, served with a mulled wine, which was an absolutely perfect compliment! Definitely see it becoming a year-round favorite!
