the reason you are having that proble is because you are trying to do it fast, if you still want to micowave it, you must stir about ever 30 sec. yes i said ever 30, and even then it depends on your own personal micowave. also try putting the mix in with the chocolate, the problem you might be having is caused by the temp diferance in the chocolate and the liquid.

I have never been successful at adding meted chocolate with another liquid mixture. Doe anyone know what I am doing wrong? I usually melt my chocolate in the microwave (because it is faster. Will this recipe incorporate the liquid well without thickening the chocolate and making it unstirable?

What a great idea - I love chili and chocolate and never thought of adding that to strawberries! Chocolate & strawberries go together like Valentine?s Day and Godiva. That?s the reason I?m spreading the word about a new promo from Godiva. You can send virtual Valentines to all your friends and loved ones without buying a thing (and get a chance to win Godiva chocolate! Get the details at http://godiva.bit.ly/67s3PV.

The directions say to start by adding chocolate, butter & cream to the bowl and place over water. THEN, it says to stir chocolate until melted and then add butter & cream. Which is it? I don't want to waste any inredients. Thanks.

I've made this recipe twice now and it's been good both times. The 1st time I used bittersweet and semi-sweet and it was awesome (I made a double batch and it was the perfect amount with just a little let over. The 2nd time I just used bittersweet...it was still great but it took some getting used too. Next time I make one batch I think I will use half bitter and half semi. This recipe is a keeper and I will be trying it with other fruit in the future!!

I don't know how one can review a recipe based on what "sounds" good or bad to them. A true review would be one that actually made the recipe, of which I just finished. The chili is so very subtle that your average taster would'nt know it is even there. This chocolate sauce is so tasty and super easy to make - it will be made frequently in my kitchen. I will use oranges and bananas and cherries - this list is endless for what to dip in this delectable sauce. Thank you!

just use chocolate instead of chili.
