AAAAHHHHH!!! Chocolaty, smooth, sweet, what more could you ask? A perfect, easy dessert for the hub. He loved them! I put a little sweetened whipped heavy cream on top, perfect!

Cake was delicious! Had no problems! If the butter and chocolate won't blend in to each other at first, just keep mixing until it does! Make sure to dissolve sugar all the way before adding to egg mixture!

This was awesome! Very easy - baked it for about 22 minutes and it came out perfect. If only it could be calorie free..

I thought this was delish! The only thing I had to adjust was the cooking time. I have found that happens almost everytime I bake since all oven are not created equal.

My roommate and I halfed the recipe and we had to pour the butter out of the cake, which actually ended up more like a soupy bread pudding. I had a saucer full of butter floating around my ramakin like a moat. Usually Claire's recipes are a hit but sadly this was a miss. I feel like I have to mention that I am a pretty decent home cook and not an out of the bull pen rookie.

I think this was a fabulous recipe especially for only 5 ingredients. It very rich, but super delicious! I served this with vanilla bean ice cream to help cut some of the richness. You can't eat a lot of this. Like previous reviewers, it's extremely important to make sure the sugar is dissovled and to not over bake it. If you just make sure of those 2 things, your cakes will turn out perfect.

Just as a note - I didn't have enough ramekins for the recipe. I ended up using ramekins and oven-safe coffee mugs. The mugs were a little thicker than the ramekins and required a little longer baking time.

This recipe was easy and very good. Mine wasn't dry or grainy. I am gluten-free so it was easy to just substitute some rice flour instead of wheat flour in seeing as though it only called for 3 Tablespoons. Mine turned out VERY oily/buttery but I just got rid of some of the liquid after they cooked by slightly (and carefully tilting the ramekins until some of the butter dripped out. They were tasty. I did have to bake mine longer than called for. Another reviewer posted below that the oily-ness can be corrected by making sure the chocolate is warm enough and by mixing it more thoroughly. I will try this next time. Although this wasn't the absolute BEST molten lava cake I've had it was pretty darn good for only 5 ingredients...I love Claire, she's awesome!!! :

I have been looking for an easy recipe like this one and it delivered!! This was easy and came out awesome!! Love the "flourlessness" of the cake. I will absolutely make it again and again!!

I followed this recipe to a tee! I am very disappointed because my cakes came out liquidy! The only thing different I used was a bit bigger ramikens. That should not have made a difference in the baking part. I watched the show on how to make this and it looked so easy and it pretty much was...however mine did not come out and I was so looking forward to eating this cake. :-( I am going to try and find another recipe to follow. I love baking and my stuff always comes out great! I reread the recipe and even my husband reread it and I followed everything I was suppose to. So sad...glad some of the others came out for other people.
