What an amazing recipe! I made this dessert tonight and what a winner. It wasn't dry or grainy and I agree with the reviewer that discussed the importance of making sure the chocolate mixture is warm enough to dissolve the sugar completely. I will add this recipe to my rotation!!

A few things for the reviewers that thought this cake was grainy and dry. Because there is a considerable amount of sugar in this recipe you need to make sure that your chocolate and butter mixture is very warm. If that mixture is not warm enough the sugar doesn't have a chance to dissolve in properly. My mix was quite smooth because the sugar was completely dissolved. Also, if you don't whisk enough, you will have a separated, oily looking batter-mine started out that way so I knew I had to whisk more to emulsify everything. For these types of cakes it is better to under bake. Depending on your oven, you may need to shave a few minutes off to get the desired consistency in the middle. This was a delicious and fast recipe. I will definitely make these cakes again. I added some salt and vanilla to my batter to help bring out the chocolate flavor.

I also thought it was grainy and dry. I will look for better recipes for this type of cake.

I watched this recipe being prepared on TV and then made it from recipe on website. It wasn't edible. Texture very grainy and strange. It was easy to make, but not worth the effort.
