This was an amazing dessert! My only concern was that it was extremely sweet and rich. Make sure you have some sort of beverage to balance it out. My best friend and I made this dish and seeing how we're very financially limited, it was perfect that this recipe only called for 5 ingredients! My only suggestion would be to change the cooking time to 35 minutes and (maybe reduce the amount of sugar. Other than that, it's a GREAT dish to make, even for beginners, so be adventurous and try it out!

Amazing! I had a dinner party last night and this dessert was a huge hit. Didn't have any preserves, but I did have some dried cherries. So I soaked them in a little of the port I planned on serving with dessert and then spooned that into the whip, a paper thin butter almond wafer skewed into the top and I had compliments of 5 star so I had to rate this as such! Thanks Claire!!!

These were very yummy (especially the cherry whip! but my pots were not set after 30 minutes. I should've cooked them longer, but I did not - as a result, they tasted a little soft and liquidy.

This was absolutely wonderful! We substituted fresh raspberries for the cherry jam. Sooooo good!

This is a fabulous dessert. The combo of the chocolate with the cherry whip is great. And because it's pretty rich, the single ramekin is plenty. It's one of my favs.

This was the most amazing dessert. Easy to make, following the very clear directions. So glad there's only two of us & we get to have the other servings for dessert tomorrow night. Will be making this for my next dinner party.

I made this for dessert tonight. We loved it. We made it according to the directions. But this is so flexible. You could add cinnamon, nutmeg or coffee. To the whipped topping if you don't want to add jam is add a flavor like Almond extract, strawberry extract, orange extract. Or you could add another jam/preserve like one viewer suggested Raspberry. But I think apricot or strawberry jam/preserves would be awesome also. I will say that it is very rich.

I actually registered on this site for the sake of posting a review for this recipe! Being a huge chocolate fan, I was so amazed at how decadent this was, not to mention so super easy. I made it for a date last night, and I think I won him over. I'm eating the extra pot right now as I type! I was a bit concerned because the cooking time was quite a bit longer than indicated, roughly 45 minutes, but it still came out perfect. I also added a bit of instant espresso to the cream and sugar mixture to enhance the chocolate flavor. (A great tip I learned from Ina This recipe is out of this world!! Super easy and impressive!!
