Fantastic recipe that is fine as written but I make the following recommendations:
    - if you can get it, use fresh pasta (we got our spinach pasta from Whole Foods
    - if you have some on hand, finish it with a couple big dollops of creme fraiche (I realize that is a sixth ingredient, but it really kicked up the flavors

I watched Clair create this and I had to cook Carbonara that night! I was surprised how easy this was to prepare, with still being new to cooking. My boyfriend and I love pepper and salty foods, so this was perfect for us! Everything came together flawlessly, yet the sauce was a bit dry. Make sure to follow the directions, with adding more pasta water if you find the sauce getting at all dry. Clair’s Carbonara would be the ideal hang over meal, with being effortless and full of grease!

I LOVE THIS RECIPE!!! This was the first food network recipe that I tried, and it instantly became a favorite of hubby and I! I like Claire's recipes because they are easy to follow, and they have 5 simple ingredients. I cut back the pepper to 1 tsp. because we are not HUGE pepper fans. This is a fantastic recipe!

This pasta became an instant family favorite the first time I made it. Because it is green I told my 4 year old son it is "Incredible Hulk Pasta" and he gobbles it up. It is so quick and easy to make I can manage it even with a newborn baby in the house. Wonderful!

This is one of the easiest dishes I have come accross that taste like it was something complicated. Great for a busy winter weeknight, though if your like me you end up craving this every other week.

This recipe was great and so much easier than I thought it would. After reading through the ingerdients and instructions I was worried it lean more towards breakfast than the parmigean-y pasta dish I was craving but it didn't disapoint. Wonderful!

Delicious! This is one of my favorite recipes from the show! It's very easy to make as well as double for more servings. I've used regular bacon and turkey bacon as I was not able to find the slab bacon, but just today I found some at a local market and will try it again with that.
