This is one of the most delicious receipes I've tried and it will be a repeat in my kitchen! I agree with another reviewer, that saving & using the pasta water is key for keeping the moisture of the pasta and sauce where you and your family like it. Thanks, Claire - keep 'em coming!

This recipe is great. The instructions as written could be better - they bounce among the various components in a confusing way - but it's not difficult or time consuming. I cut it in half (a little tricky with the egg, but doable if you use a spoon, used thick-cut uncured bacon strips, drained most of the grease out of the bacon frying pan before adding the pasta, and added kosher salt (none specified in the recipe. Found the extra pasta water to be key to getting the right consistency. Imagine it would also be great with some garlic added too. Thanks, Claire!

I made the recipe exactly as stated - no cream!!! - but I subbed good pancetta for the slab bacon. Perhaps not as smokey as Claire intended but absolutely wonderful nonetheless.

Oh. My. Gosh. So easy... So delicious... So rich and creamy. I wanted to never stop eating it. Claire Robinson is a genuis. I really appreciate her recipies because they are so hard to mess up even for novice cooks like myself. I couldn't find spinach fettuccine, used regular. Still AWESOME!!! Thanks Claire!!!

This recipe is very rich, but it tastes really good. I was unable to find the spinach fettuccine at my regular grocery store so I used regular. I'm not sure how that affects the flavor of the overall dish, but I thought it turned out great. With all of the cheese, cream and bacon I wouldn't make this every night, but I love getting everyone to eat spinach.

I was surfing the TV and saw Claire making this recipe and gosh, it just looked good, easy and I knew it would be tasty. I had everything at home except the spinach fettuchini and ran to Publix and got 3 one pound boxes. I can never ever go shopping without buying excess of anything, God forbid, I should run out. It was so easy to make, and guess what, it smelled perfect.

Not to complain, I did not add one thing to this recipe, the bacon I used is from a smokehouse in West Virginia, thick slabs and out of this world. The bacon grease it produces just adds to the flavor, the bacon is salty enough and I did not even add that. I just made it and such a good meal. The spinach in the recipe makes you at least think you are eating healthy. My own preference, I did give it a slight jolt of crushed red pepper when it was on my plate. Thanks for this recipe Claire. ewsmith845@aol.com
