Just saw the show and loved the sound of this recipie. However, I read the reviews and I believe the viewers were worried about cream in the recipe. I believe it was meant to say to "cream" the cheese, etc. into the eggs. This will make the sauce creamy when mixed altogether. I will be making this as soon as I get my fresh spinach pasta. Claire is a great addition to FN.

Sorry, she forgot the amount of cream. No cream was mentioned in the show or in the written ingredients. Just a typo perhaps? Just say sorry, I forgot and give the ingredients again....no problem. I think it's the same amount of cream (1/2 cup as mentioned in a recipefrom Rachael Ray.

I just replayed this show (taped it and she did not use any cream whatsoever - only the pasta water was added to the egg mixture right before tossing in w/ the noodles and bacon before serving. Hope this helps ...

I just re-watched the episode from my DVR and she did not add any cream. Must have been a typo.

There should not be cream in a traditional carbonara. This was very good.

The directions mention cream but no cream is listed in the ingredients. Somebody wasn't paying attention when this was written up.
