claire. i love the simplicity and fresh approach of your stuff.
i added a tad of fresh ground nutmeg this is a great side with almost
anything. keep up the good work. YOU are a rising star with no B.S.
in your recipes. refreshingly, there is no ultra ego either.

I tried this recipe tonight for Christmas dinner. It was okay. I'm not sure if I reduced the heavy cream enough but it was a little soupy. I did let it reduce down for more than the 4 minutes and drained all the excess water out of the spinach.
If you are looking for a plain and simple recipe this one is it. For me, I think I would like to try a recipe with a little more complexity in the flavors. One that would enhance the cream and spinach and not over power it.
Overall, it was an okay recipe. What's not to like about cream or spinach. And, I do like watching Claire's show. I'll have to give the other recipes a try.

Hi Claire! This creamed spinach was delicious. That heavy cream made it so yummy. Such a simple recipe and just a few ingredients. It's amazing how the spinach can reduce down with such little water. Loved it!!

marsha, have you actually tried this recipe??? i for one like my food to taste like what it is. not like the spices, etc., that folks use to excess.
this dish tastes like spinach. good spinach.
i have made a lot of different creamed spinach recipes over the years.
finally got it.
creamed. spinach. not creamed cream cheese and onion with spinach.
creamed. spinach. as in: spinach with cream. duh.
check out julia childs recipe for this dish.
simple. good. try it.

My husband and I love creamed spinach but I usually head for the freezer when I make it. After watching the episode, I knew I could make it for myself and it turned out great - really fresh! I like the concept of this show and am looking forward to the new season coming up soon. In my opinion, the whole point of the Food Network isn't to make recipes exactly how they're prepared on the shows, but to get inspiration and ideas that you can make work for your families tastes - Go Claire!

This is a very nice simple recipe for a quick but good side dish. Marsha, I see why you live in Rancho MIRAGE. It must have taken you years in culinary school to come up with the totally unique concept that more ingredients are better. This recipe is a very nice point to start from and you can figure out what to add, according to your tastes, to improve the recipe.

I made everything from this episode and it was a huge hit with the family!
And adding to everyone else's comments to Marsha...
If you watch the show, Marsha, Claire says that each of her dishes are made with 5 ingredients OR FEWER. In this case, it was 3 ingredients. And for the busy home cook, it was tasty and time-efficient.

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! Not sure why you have such a gripe with this cook, as I have seen other reviews from you and you have yet to cook a single dish of hers. BUT, I was extremely thankful to find this as I love creamed spinach but usually buy frozen Prior to trying this version, I tried another Food Network version that was on the healthier side and it was trickier to make, used only small amounts of unusual ingredients that you were left figuring out what to do with the rest of it. This was so easy and as delicious as advertised. I am sorry that some viewers are so determined to be difficult with Claire

I think Marsha needs someone to cream her spinach. Claire, your show is giving me the courage to get in the kitchen. Keep up the great work!

Loved your creamed spinach but always add a little nutmeg to my creamed spinach which adds a lot of extra flavor and brings out the spinach flavor. I also add a little cream cheese which also makes it extra creamy.
