This was so good!!! Made this with Claire's blue cheese and bacon chicken, which we didn't like at all. In fact, we just kept eating and eating the broccoli! We left out the orange and it was FAB-U-LOUS! I think even my dad who hates broccoli would eat this. This is going to be a go-to side dish for me. YUM!

I love Claire's recipes. I've made this twice, once with orange, once with lemon - loved both flavors. Thanks Claire!

This is simply the best brocoli dish I have ever had! I don't get the anti orange comments. That is the reason I was compelled to try this recipe in the first place. My 13 year old son said it was a nice surprise and "a party in his mouth." If yours turned out soupy, perhaps you did not let it reduce long enough. Also you should make sure to let it cool down a bit before adding the roasted pieces. It will thicken up quite a bit.

Agree with reviewer below that this was a lot of work for the finished result. Did not like the broccoli/orange combination at all. A definite miss--threw most of it in the trash. Kids like veggies, but this all went to waste.

I see this happen all the time. Are people really that stupid that they can't grasp the idea of what a review is. How can you rate a recipe three stars and write a review BEFORE you even try it? Let's get with the program folks! I'm giving it five stars to balance out this idiot's three.

The Orange does not sound good to me with broccoli. I will use lemon as I have before, but not with cream. Will see? Lemon, butter and garlic are delicious....so maybe the cream will be OK?

My new favorite way to make and eat broccoli! I agree with one of the other vieweres - after combining the roasted broccoli with the creamed broccoli, it was more soupy than creamy. I'm making this tonight with the Citrus-Garlic Roasted Chicken. I've used orange before the few times I've made it and loved it but tonight I'll omit it since I'll have the orange in the roasted chicken.

My boyfriend, who I feel I have to pull tooth to eat greens, said this is the only way he wants to eat broccoli! He even said I make the best vegetables!!

All thanks to Claire! I love you Claire - you and your recipes rock!

My husband and I loved it. I'm excited because broccoli is my kid's favorite vegetable and I'm always looking for a unique way to make it. I can't wait to make it for them when they come home from school. I was a little concerned about the orange from previous comments, but I wanted to try it her way first. I was pleased with the result. The only problem I had was since I didn't see this episode, I didn't know how to cut the broccoli for roasting. It took much longer than the 15 min. (which I've come to expect since moving to a high altitude city, but the stalks were a little tough. Next time I'll cut them thinner so they will cook through. It was also nice to see how easy it was to use a potato masher on the stovetop cooked broccoli.

This was really really good. So good in fact that I made it two days in a row. I made the mistake the second day of using fat free half and half, it just wasn't the same. I also left the orange out both times, I'm not a huge fan of orange.
