I followed the recipe exactly, except I kept the frozen dough logs in the freezer for about a week (like you can do for any shortbread-ish cookie dough. The baked cookie outcome was a decent shortbread cookie with a very faint Earl Grey flavor. I thought they looked lovely, but the look was the strongest indication of the flavor. I guess I just expect an Earl Grey cookie to have a more assertive flavor. I won't be making these again.

This is better than I thought it might be. The only change I made was adding a little bit of lemon juice.

YUCK! I love shortbread and Earl Grey tea, but these cookies are awful. They are like cookies with twigs in them. If you leave out the tea they would probably be fine. Very dissapointing.

THESE ARE AMAZING! The most simple recipe but absolutely fantastic! I am a tea lover and these cookies are really fun...I loved the earl grey so much I made a batch with Chai tea....a yummy autumn treat! Didn't have loose tea in the house so just cut open a couple tea bags! you can do so much with this dough...I like the idea of lemon or orange zest....that will be next!

This was a really different twist on a shortbread cookie and I really liked it. I love the fact that shortbread cookies are not overly sweet. The earl grey just gave it an extra layer of flavor that was really fun!

Everyone is a big fan of these cookies. My food processor is tiny, so I had to make half a recipe at a time. I made 1 1/2 inch (in diameter logs rather than 2 1/2, but I would like to try rolling out the dough to use cookie cutters.

This was so easy to make during a busy day. I thought they tasted great. I used 2 earl grey tea bags because I could not find loose tea. It worked great. I can see orange peel or lemon peal instead of tea or pecans for variations. Real keeper. Great gift for homemade sharing.

I saw Claire's show for the first time a week ago and this recipe was part of her 5 Ingredient Fix "French Bistro at Home" episode. I intend to make all 3 recipes that were part of the show, but this recipe has been on my mind since seeing her make them. It has been near obsession. So, I purchased my Earl Grey Tea from Teavana yesterday and made the cookies today. Firstly, let me say I've never had Earl Grey Tea, but after making the dough, I ate the equivalent of about 3 cookies (raw dough!!, because the dough in intoxicating! I waited patiently for them to cool, and wow....these are some of the BEST cookies I have ever made in 25+ years. I made her recipe exactly, and then added a small amount of orange zest. UNBELIEVABLE! I don't write reviews, but I had to in this instance because I want everyone to sample these, they are THAT good. Mmmmmmm, the best! Thank you, Claire!

Very easy and quick to make and so delicious. I used mixed fruit/white tea - that's what I had and they came out great ! Lovely fragrance too.

Super simple recipe and so yummy. I ran out of flour, so i used pancake mix and left out the salt. I love the fragrant yet delicate flavor of the tea, made me want to eat them all!! Next time I'll try with orange zest since this cookie is so easy to make!
