Excellent, super easy, very tasty, were consumed quickly at a party! Will use a more fragrant tea next time or try other add-ins as suggested by other reviewers!

Scrumtrulescent! These are delicious. I am a big fan of shortbread and I love unusual ingredients so I had to try these. So easy to make, it was a pleasure. I used Tazo Earl Grey Tea - very fragrant! These cookies were light, crisp and the tea created a wonderful subtle flavor. This is a shortbread recipe you could really play with!!

They were THE HIT at our cookie exchange... and SO easy to make. The earl grey flavor is subtle and delicious. I didn't change the recipe at all, but I do wonder about using other flavors such as ginger, rose petals, lavendar...?

I have never actually made this with Earl Grey. I have used Tazo Vanilla Apricot White, which gave me a bit of a caffeine buzz, and a mix of Tazo Organic Red Apple and Tazo Sweet Cinnamon Spice, which are both caffeine free. Both were amazing, and I plan to make them again several times in the future. Just make sure you used powdered sugar, not granulated, or they do not turn out right.

I didnt have tea so I substituted about a 1/2 cup (I eyed it of slivered almonds. I put them in the recipe right where the tea was. Almonds gave the cookies a wonderful texture and flavor! Im excited to try pecans... or maybe coconut...ooooo or lemon zest? Wonder if you could switch the extract flavor and get a good result?

I expected to love this, but somehow it left me wanting. I think the tea added a bit of astringency I wasn't expecting. I only made a half batch, and don't know if I'll put it into my regular repetoire. I've had too many stellar shortbreads in my time to spend calories on one that was only "fine". If anyone can give me any tips to improve it, though, feel free to speak up. : On the plus side, it was really easy to make (using cut open tea bags.

These cookies were excellent and easy. I'm not even typically a huge fan of shortbread and I loved these. I couldn't find loose leaf earl grey so I just cut open some earl grey tea bags (about five was plenty. They turned out perfectly and my husband loved them!
