This is a very forgiving and versitile recipe. I made the mistake of going to a "Super Center" with a grocery store. I was unable to find any kind of pizza dough, olive oil with garlic, or fresh oregeno. I purchased a large loaf of French bread and sliced it in half lengthwise. (I only used one half. I covered the open bread with olive oil and sprinkled it with garlic powder. I added the mozzarella and ricotta cheeses. Again the store did not have whole milk ricotta so I bought the part skim and I used dried oregeno.

My husband does not consider it dinner without meat so I added pepperoni. I purchased fresh pepperoni from the deli and had it sliced. After adding the salt and pepper, the pepperoni was the last ingredient on the pizza. It only had to cook for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. It came out great! The bread was soft but the crust was crispy and flakey.

It was still quck, easy, and the flavor of the white chesses really came through. I realize some people do not like it when one varies from the original recipe and explains the changes, but this was the best I could do and it WORKED beautifully.

I had a hard time finding garlic olive oil; I finally found some (the local grocery store had one kind. Overall, the pizza was good, but a little bland. Next time I think I'll add some toppings other than cheese. I used a whole wheat pizza dough and it tasted great. I think I'll use a low fat ricotta next time like someone else mentioned doing. I topped mine with some crushed red pepper to spice it up a bit.

It was just ok for us but nothing special. It was very easy but lacked something. Didn't save the printed recipe to make again.

I must agree with many commenters who say that the garlic oil is the star! I made this a couple of times with regular old olive oil and it was just so-so. I just made it with garlic oil and it was completely different! Everytime I made this, I used store-bought naan instead of making the dough - delicious!! This would be a great base for additional ingredients.

Saw this episode over the weekend and decided to make it for dinner last night....sooo good and sooo easy. Brushing the pan and the dough with garlic oil really made a difference in the flavor and texture...nice crispy crust that I could never get before. The only change I made was to used a smoked mozzerrella instead of plain....YUM!! This was the first recipe of Claire's that I've tried but won't be the last! THANKS CLAIRE!!

Followed the recipe exactly and came out delicious!! Some viewers felt it was too bland.......you really need to use a good Garlic flavored oil. It makes all the difference. I used VIGOA Garlic and Herb oil. Only has 1 gram of saturated fat. It's used and sold as a healthier oil especially for vegans. Love it!!!

This tasted great. I used a box mix for the pizza dough and it turned out fine. I would put smaller dollops of the ricotta cheese the next time I make it since it doesn't have a lot of flavor.

This pizza was easy to make and so good. Thank you Claire for teaching me how to form my pizza dough. Its something I've always had trouble with. I try to change little things in every recipe to make my food a bit healthier. I used whole wheat pizza dough and both low-fat mozzarella and ricotta. I know I will be making this again very soon. Thinking about possibly adding pieces of chicken or crumbled turkey bacon.
