This was awful. I threw it out. Food isn't something we should be wasting with food costs soaring like they are. I wasn't very happy.

I used the brown bella mushrooms and did not use any white mushrooms. I followed the recipe and made it Thanksgiving Day. It was delicious and the green beans were tender but not mushy. Everything blended together well. Since I don't eat corn flakes, I substituted Special K which has more flavor. Everyone loved it and there was very little left. I will definitely make this again.

This was a terrible recipe. The green beans were colorful, but they were hard, tasteless, and the cheese just clumped the beans into a ball of mess! I followed the recipe exact, expecting a great turnout, It sure let me down. It's my fault for not trying it ahead of time. I made it Thanksgiving day! I sure learned my lesson.

After reading the reviews, I took this recipe and reworked it a bit. I added a little minced garlic to the onions, a 16 ounce cup of sour cream, tripled the mushrooms (used regular white button and half and half to thin the sauce. I also mixed the beans and sauce as suggested and used block mozzarella hand pulled in shreds as opposed to preshredded which is so dry. I also used the fried onions as a topping. Everyone LOVED it! It will be a new family tradition!

The recipe was dry, the sour cream & mushroom did not melt down into the string beans and the mozzarella was a stringy layer, similar to eating pizza. Milk may be good to thin the mixture out. Suggest another cheese. I agree with another reviewer about the mushroom measure may be incorrect.

I wonder if this recipe was ever tested. The taste was good but I must rework the recipe to make it edible.
