    The first time I made this the onion was just too much for my family. The next time I made it, I left out the onion, added a mango and used vanilla flavored Greek yogurt and it was an instant family hit!

    I also used only 1 cup of yogurt and found it to be just right. Funny, couldn't tell the difference between the cukes and the melon. Guess my melon wasn't that ripe. But a good salad to go with the lamb pita sandwich, which I slathered onto it.

    I just watched this show and thought that looks really good...Im always looking for fast and easy salad like recipes...I had all the ingredients so lets give it a try....wow! It was fantastic! I used 1/2 a honeydew..it was only going to be me eating it and one whole cucumber...I didnt have jalapeno...so I used a jalapeno sauce that I have and love...needless to say I ate the whole bowl full myself for dinner....Cant wait to make again! Thanks Clarie!!

    i used strained, plain non-fat yogurt, opa! greek yogurt!! also used mint in lieu of peppers, perfecto with lamb chops.

    I used one cup of Kefir instead of Yogurt. I also noticed that the honeydew continues to 'bleed' out a lot of it's liquid so i allowed about 20-25 minutes. Next time I will use a little less red onion as I love the sweetnest of red but noticed I was a pulling some aside, NO fault of the recipe. Final note, nothing against yogurt, but loved the Kefir, may use the yogurt next time and compare. Agree with another reviewer about adding fresh cracked pepper at the end. The one hour in the frig is mandatory to marry the flavors. This is repeat sidedish.

    This recipe was too spicy and at the same time bland - the combination of cucumber and honeydew did not work, Very disappointing,

    THIS IS THE PERFECT SALAD TO ACCOMPANY A SPICY CHILLI. DID IT ACCORDING TO DIRECTIONS, BUT ADDED SOME FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER AT THE END! NEXT TIME I MAKE IT (AND I WILL! I WILL ADD MORE HONEYDEW.

    Made this tonight--reminds me of the cucumber salad my mom used to make--goes great with the lamb sandwiches! the honeydew really added a great flavor-I would never have thought of that!

    great cucumber salad but i did back off on the 2cps of yog. to just one cup which i thought was plenty to dress the ingredients.
