I just finished eating this dish. It was outstanding, and my two little girls enjoyed it also. We eat quite a bit of salmon, usually grilled. It is great to have a non-grilled recipe and not only that, I can make it ahead and have it ready if I know we will be crunched for dinner.

Concerning FIFix.... I am actually starting to enjoy the show more and more each week. It is shot beautifully but more importantly, Claire is making recipes I would be willing to serve my family. Best of luck.... I am off to make the buttermilk Ranch.

My 8 yr-old took one bite and said it was the best salmon he had every had. We have salmon quite often, but I had never poached it before. Loved how all the flavors came together. I didn't make the cream sauce, but drizzled pesto over the salmon instead (healthier. We loved it!

The fresh ginger I bought at the grocery store for some reason didn't make it into the bag, so I used ground ginger that I had on hand instead. Also, used sour cream for the sauce. The sauce doubles nicely as a salad dressing. I put this over greens and drizzled the sauce over the greens and salmon. Yummy! The salmon was very moist. Great for leftovers. I will be making this one again for sure!

The recipes on this site that I've tried are great, but this one -- gee.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I've had this for four dinners in a row, and even took some to the office for my coworkers (who ran to get this recipe from the site.

I've also paired the lime basil cream sauce with some baked salmon that I kept simple (sprinkled only with Ms. Dash Table Blend. Then I topped with the sauce (that was my fifth time eating salmon and plated with some roasted potatoes and green beans.

Highly recommended to try this one!
