seriously! Claire needs to BOTTLE this stuff up! creamy, silky and phenomenal. Its so good but you MUST add Cilantro with the basil. As I stated, I used half basil half cilantro. Also added a small chopped garlic clove with just a few sprigs of chive (I literally added maybe 4 little sprigs also used chicken stock instead of water. THIS IS SO YUMMY! I made it with the rice then I made it again an used only baked chicken breast. It was to die for! I will NEVER forget this recipe its TOO easy and TOO good.

We love this in our house. Even my hubby who doesn't like avocado. I usually cilantro and lime, but the original basil and lemon is good too!

This was awesome. I used cilantro instead of basil, and I added one clove of garlic. I also used it with quinoa instead of rice to make it healthy. It was creamy and perfect...could be used as a dip, sauce, or spread!

This is an AMAZING spin on rice. I substituted cilantro for the basil, and it turned out beautifully.

Used my left over brussels sprouts from Thanksgiving and mixed in with all the other greens, without the avocado. It was great. I loved it as posted too.

I read the reviews and watched Claire make it as well and I loved it and my husband too!! He preferred it with a little less basil, so I made two batches as I had two ripe and creamy avocados. It was so creamy and when combined with the warm rice it was delicious. I feel bad for the people who tried it and didn't like it, not sure what went wrong. I used the concentrate basil from a tube so maybe that could help the others.

I loved the thought of avocado with rice. I don't know what went wrong but it was terrible. I kept taking bites thinking it couldn't really be that bad, but sadly it was bad. Maybe it was too much lemon or too much basil. Thanks

we loved this!! i saw it on tv and had to try it! i used a little less then 1/4 cup of olive oil and the juice of half a lemon and a good handful of fresh basil! i also used just one avoccado, little bit of water and salt and pepper to taste. just threw all ingredients in my magic bullet and it couldnt have been easier! i couldnt stop eating it! my husband calls it guacamole rice:

I had cilantro lying around the house, so I substituted it for the basil, and it was pretty good! I think next time I may use lime instead of lemon, but this is a great basic recipe for a quick dinner. Make sure your avocado is very ripe, it makes all the difference!
