Made this for family brunch. Since I always put my own spin on recipes, I spread a small amount of softened cream cheese and used strawberry preserves on top then sealed. Really gave it an extra "yum" factor! There wasn't a crumb left!

Flavor wise - GREAT! Worth the work - well I had a hard time. The pastry I got was stuck together after thawing and I lost 4 potential pastries - for the second sheet, I put back in freezer for just a few minutes and it was soooo much easier to unfold. The creation of jam and pastry were easy but price vs creation - it was a wash. Since still purchasing processed foods, not sure if it is worth the effort...but I cant tell you it wasn't good - it tasted like the ones you can buy in the freezer section!

I have 5 kids and this was something very fast to make. I even had the kids helping and they had so much fun. I added some whipped cream cheese to the bottom and then added the jam on top. Man where they great!! I will be making them again. My kids have already asked me when they come home from school can they help me make some more. Such a keeper..

My kids saw Claire make this yesterday and lucky for them, I had some puff pastry in the freezer. I didn't have any jam but just mixed up my own filling quickly with fresh blueberries and blackberries, sugar, cornstarch and a little water. Simmered until thick and voila! These were super easy to make. Instead of cutting slits, as she shows on the episode, I just poked holes with a fork - no issues with the pastry puffing too much. And the kids loved them!

Super easy. Was a great hit with the family. They weren't just for breakfast. We used a raspberry filling since you can't find it in the stores.

OMG! I made these over the weekend for my family and they loved them. I used blueberry and strawberry preserves instead of the jam. They were so easy to make, my family has already put in their orders for this weekend. This is the 2nd recipe I have made from Claire and I am going to try her Chicken Fried Steak this weekend also.
