Claire, thank you for this receipe! I had people who swore they hated sweet potatoes eating them. They did not know what the dish was so they added it to their thanksgiving plate and the raves were unbelievable. Thank you from 25 people at dinner!

Not a big fan of sweet potatoes (except fries, but these were absolutely delicious. Will certainly be making them again - and not just for Thanksgiving.

I decided to try this for Thanksgiving. My husband and I aren't huge fans of sweet potatoes with marshmallow so we thought this would be good. It was the best sweet potato recipe I have ever had! My one year old daughter devoured her helping and wanted more...to top it off it was easy too! This our new "go-to" recipe for sweet potatoes.

I made this last week as a side for dinner as a test run for Thanksgiving. The flavor was fabulous and the recipe was easy. I am making it today on Thanksgiving for the firehouse - where good cooking is important! By the way, I followed the directions exactly. I wonder this can be made with yams as well?

These are the best sweet potatoes I have ever had. Perfect sweetness and texture. I love the flavor the onions add. I had to cook my onions a lot longer then suggested in the recipe because I like them really carmalized, but it was so worth the effort! The poatoes are really hard to resist right out of the oven too! I may try to serve them that way sometime too, with the onions on the side. Thanks Claire.

Well...I didn't have any shallots or maple syrup so I used white onions and sugar free pancake syrup and they turned out fantastic!!! I will definitely use this recipe again!

Normally I am not a fan for sweet potatoes the recipe looked easy and good so I wanted to try it, it's simple and tasty. People who like sweet potatoes try this one! and for those who don't care for them (like myself give it a try. Will be making them again. The only thing I would change is I didn't roasted them for long enough as I made them fast.
